This is being written on a day when the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama, has declared that we are entering a new day regarding the source and use of energy. You can make a difference of the kind that our new President was promoting in his inaugural address. Biking to work or school can save energy, reduce atmospheric pollution of all kinds, increase health and reduce health industry costs, and SAVE YOU $$$$. Don't want to go back to spending $4.50 a gallon or more for gas. REVOLT! Get to work using a vehicle that gets unlimited miles per gallon.

For many years the bicycle industry took mens' bikes and rejiggered them to create a ladies version. Specialized has decided that this was an inadequate solution. So, as part of their body geometry effort, they now create Diva bikes that are designed from the ground up to fit a woman's body and take advantage of her natural strengths. This revolution has resulted in women streaming back to the sport. A great example of this trend is the Mika offroad bike. Here is a great analysis of the special features of this bike by Brian.
You don't automatically think comfortable when you think of a Class 1 Road Bike, but Specialized Bicycle Company doesn't do things the way folks normally think. So, they have taken their justifiably famous Roubaix line and created a machine that is as comfortable as it is swift.
Brain explains how that was done in this brief video. You can see the bike in person just by dropping by the store.
Montrose Bike Shop has long been a favorite stopping place for those who enjoy Mountain Bike and Off Road Biking experiences. The shop has maintain huge inventories of Trek, Specialized and other brands of the best possible equipment on the market today. For the cross country folks, there is not a better offering today than the Epic FSR Comp. This bike is super fast in part due to the BRAIN suspension which automatically locks out the suspension when it isn't needed and opens it up again when the terrain gets harsh. Here is a short video where Brian takes you through the features and benefits of this fine off road vehicle.
