HIIT it. Swap a leisurely midweek cruise for a short session of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). A slew of studies from the past five years shows that a few brief, gut-busting sessions can improve your endurance as well as much longer rides do. Going hard can prep your muscles to go long. The metabolic magic happens on two fronts. One: Endurance rides tend to hit only your slow-twitch muscle fibers, but HIIT training also recruits your high-speed fibers so you develop a bigger engine. Two: Your body becomes better at tapping into your fat stores to refuel for the next hard effort, so you become a more efficient fat burner.

First you should note that trek designs and manufactures mountain bikes, as well as street bikes, but the company does much more than that. As for bikes, they produce such high quality rides that even Lance Armstrong rides a Trek! What better endorsement could the company have than that?

Make sure to check out the extraordinary article about Trek Bkes and the Trek Dirt Series, and surpassing expections year after year. Read the full article HERE!
In its tenth year of existence, the Trek Dirt Series delivers instruction with the goal of developing skills through a supportive, step-by-step process that helps riders move beyond their fears to truly enjoy mountain biking. More than 5,000 riders, both male and female, have pedaled through the program since its inception in 2001.
“With Trek’s support, we’ve been able to dramatically increase our resources and expand our operation for 2010,” Shadley said. “This will be our first year providing instruction as far east as Colorado and also the first year our riders will have access to Trek’s Women’s Specific Design Factory Demo Team and fleet of demo bikes at every event.”
“Trek is pulling out all the stops for the 2010 Trek Dirt Series,” said Dean Gore, director of marketing at Trek. “We’re eager to augment our support for the growing women’s MTB market in North America and excited about partnering with a program as established and valuable as the Dirt Series.”
