Cyclocross NEWS- Dam Cross January 17 - Sponsored by Montrose Bike Shop

We are less than 50 days from the Dam Cross Race.  If you've never been to a Cyclocross event, we'd sure like to encourage you to come hang out in our booth.  We're very hospitable and have various coolers filled with various good things to eat and drink.  Cyclocross Montrose Bike Shop

We also know all the perfect vantage points for watching the riders (since owner JL lays out the course), and can help you out with handicapping if you want to get to know more about the players.  The event includes an Eco Sportsfest.  You won't want to miss that.

The season has been our best yet with great participation and excellent course layouts.  We are always on the lookout for new riders to join our team.  Just talk to any member of our shop staff about what that can mean for you.

Specialzed Makes Women Specific Bikes - Check Out the Mika at Montrose

For many years the bicycle industry took mens' bikes and rejiggered them to create a ladies version. Specialized has decided that this was an inadequate solution. So, as part of their body geometry effort, they now create Diva bikes that are designed from the ground up to fit a woman's body and take advantage of her natural strengths. This revolution has resulted in women streaming back to the sport. A great example of this trend is the Mika offroad bike. Here is a great analysis of the special features of this bike by Brian.

Specialized Roubaix SL2 Road Racing Bike TOP of Class and Comfortable Too

You don't automatically think comfortable when you think of a Class 1 Road Bike, but Specialized Bicycle Company doesn't do things the way folks normally think. So, they have taken their justifiably famous Roubaix line and created a machine that is as comfortable as it is swift.

Brain explains how that was done in this brief video. You can see the bike in person just by dropping by the store.
